Take Action to Defend the Guard
Join us in taking action to support House Bill 2188 and Senate Bill 1495 to ensure that Arizona’s National Guard is only deployed with proper congressional authorization, as the Constitution requires. Your voice is crucial in this legislative process.
The Arizona Defend the Guard Act SB1495 passed the Senate by a vote of 16-13. It now moves to the House for further consideration.
HB2188 is in House Federalism, Military Affairs & Elections Committee. It must pass by a majority vote to move forward in the legislative process.
Residents of the state should take the following steps to help the bill advance.
Step 1: Contact the Speaker of the House

Step 2: Contact your own state senator and representative
Urge them to co-sponsor and support SB1495. Let them know you want to see them vote YES on SB1495.
