Take Action to Defend the Guard

Join us in taking action to support Senate Bill 1495 to ensure that Arizona’s National Guard is only deployed with proper congressional authorization, as the Constitution requires. Your voice is crucial in this legislative process.

The Arizona Defend the Guard Act passed the Senate by a vote of 16-13 and all required house committees It now much pass the full House by a majority vote to head to the governor’s desk.

Residents of the state should take the following steps to help the bill advance.

Step 1: Contact the Speaker of the House

Contact Speaker Steve Montenegro at 602-926-3635. Let him know you support SB1495 and would like to see it pass his House and sent to the Governor’s desk. 

Be firm, but professional and courteous.

 

Step 2: Contact your own state representative

Urge them to co-sponsor and vote YES on SB1495. A phone call is far more effective than an email.
